 Most popular haiku poets are from Japan. They are known as "the Great Four". They are Kobayashi Issa, Matsuo Basho, Yosa Buson and Masaoka Shiki. Their work is the best work for traditional haiku poems. A poet can review the haiku poems to become familiar with this type of poems.

Matsuo Basho is one of the greatest haiku poets.
