Who else is involved? For the ‘where’ part the writer has to answer the place where it is based. The place of the storyline must be answered by the writer. After that, the writer has to provide the answer to the time period of the story. After that, the writer has to provide the answer to why. To explain all these questions the writer has to provide the answer to how.
The inverted pyramid
A journalist has to provide the most important facts at the start and works ‘down’ from there. The writer must provide enough information on the first paragraph. The key information must be highlighted in the first paragraph. It will give a good overview of the entire story. In the next paragraph, the journalist can include less important information. A good approach is to assume that the story might be cut off at any point due to a lack of space.
People and their opinion
The story must affect people. By following the guideline the writer can make an attractive news story for the reader. To do that the writer has to target the audience. Have an angle
Most stories are written form a particular angle. It makes a clear story, which gives it focus. To avoid a boring story, the journalist can find an angle and try to pinpoint the most unusual aspect of the story.
Keep it simple
The writer must write a simple news story that contains each and every detail of the story. It will be a good idea to avoid formal language and complicated sentences.
