How do you choose a personal narrative topic?

 Personal narrative topics are considered to be the only genre of writing that allows a writer to utilize their imagination and explore their creativity to the fullest. As there is no strict structure or regulations to write a personal narrative essay, it is one of the favorite form of academic writing. When it comes to choosing a topic of the narrative, it is most of the time provided by the instructors in the class which is most of the time disliked by student as it restricts them to a topic of study. But, nowadays it has been observed that the instructors tends to leave it on the students decision to pick their topic. However, whether the topic is given by the instructor or left on the students, it can be made into a fascinating narration utilizing the imagination and one’s personal experiences and memories. The students nowadays, given the freedom to decide on their topic struggles to pick a topic which will grab the attention of the readers the very first time. Sometimes, the student can experience going blank in the face of a sudden session of writing. Personal narrative essay topic can be based on a number of things but it should be kept in mind by the student that they should simply pick the first topic that comes to their mind. It can be of many types but the most common one is the usage of the experience by the students. But the point is to narrate their story in a literary manner. This is mainly due to the fact that it is noticed that when people write about their interest, they write it with passion. A common example of such topic is: Talk about a movie you watched that impressed you. Another favorites of the student is their narration of their travelling as it gives a wider scope to them to explore and use their imagination and creativity. For example: The trip you loved the most. The genre which is the favorite of both the student as well the instructors is the imaginary ones where people can deviate from the regularity of life and dive into the imagination of the absurd.
